In the Mission Helper Community, a woman in formation enters fully into our life—growing in her capacity to integrate a life of prayer with an active ministry. She contributes fully to the life of the congregation. Because Mission Helpers are able to pursue ministries to which they feel called, Formation programs are structured specifically for each individual woman.
Most would include:
  • Involvement with a variety of ministry/missionary experiences
  • Communal living
  • Educational and professional development
  • Participation in programs that enhance personal psychological development and communication skills
  • The opportunity to learn congregational history
  • Regular spiritual direction
  • Participation in days of prayer, spiritual renewal programs and retreats
  • Participation in inter-congregational formation programs
  • Exposure to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius including a 30-day retreat
