On any given day, you might find Mission Helpers in these settings:

  • Serving as Pastoral Minister at a large retirement community

  • Leading a bereavement support group
  • Ministering to the deaf community
  • Leading classes for people who want to join the Church
  • Providing both spiritual and material support for the poor in rural Venezuela
  • Teaching adults how to teach religion to children
  • Teaching children about God’s love
  • Bringing Communion and fellowship to those in hospitals and nursing homes
  • As an Administrator of a parish without a priest
  • As a Chaplain at a major university
  • Ministering to those in hospice care
  • Providing support and opportunity for homeless women
  • Conducting faith sharing sessions with women in prison
  • Serving in an administrative position in a Diocese or Archdiocese
  • Leading a retreat
  • Preparing people for Marriage, First Communion, Confirmation and Baptism
  • Creating pottery, water colors, needlework and home accent pieces
  • Developing material for Internet education
